Leschi-Lake Dell Natural Area - Green Seattle Day- Restoration ...11/03/2012

Activities

Without a coordinated effort, Seattle is at risk of losing 70% of its forests in just 20 years. Join us at Leschi Natural Area for Green Seattle Day 2011. This event is the kick off to our planting season and is a celebration of our neighborhood parks and committed neighbors. We will spending the afternoon removing invasive species and planting native trees, shrubs and groundcover.

This small but significant Natural Area is one of a series of forested parklands (Madrona Woods, Leschi Park, Frink Park, Colman Park, and Mt. Baker Park) that offer green relief and important urban habitat for wildlife close to Lake Washington. It also offers a fantastic view overlooking Lake Washington for visitors to enjoy
